By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Thursday 16th AprI’m taking part in this challenge to raise money for dementia support and research — a cause that is very close to my heart. My husband and I have seen firsthand the devastating impact this illness has, having supported three of our four parents through their journeys with dementia. It’s a cruel disease that affects not only those diagnosed, but the whole family around them. By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping to fund vital research, improve care, and bring hope for a future where fewer families have to go through this. Thursday 16th AprSadly, dementia has become an illness that touches far too many lives.
My hubby and I have experienced this firsthand, with three out of our four parents living their final years with this cruel disease. Watching someone you love go through it — and seeing the impact on the whole family — is truly heartbreaking.
Having this experience is why I feel strongly about doing what I can to help raise funds to support efforts aimed at prevention, research, and better care for those affected.
Even small contributions can make a difference in the fight against this devastating condition. So please help to support this cause
