Walking With Purpose: My Mile for Neurodegenerative Disease

Friday 1st May

Every day, I'll walk a mile.

Not for fitness....
Not for speed....

But for something that touches so many lives, often quietly and invisibly.

I walk for people living with neurodegenerative diseases. Conditions that don’t just affect memory, but slowly change how someone thinks, feels, and experiences the world.

They don’t just impact individuals… they ripple through families, friendships, and entire lives.

Some days my mile may feel peaceful. Other days, it'll feel heavy with awareness of how much these conditions take. But I'll keep walking.

Because even small actions matter.

This mile is my way of raising awareness, of standing alongside those affected, and of reminding myself that compassion and understanding are powerful things.

We might not have all the answers yet. But we can show up. We can learn. We can care 🩵
