hours of free helpline support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse

I'm making Time for a Cuppa

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Thank you!

It's Time for a Cuppa Week and your donation could be matched by Nationwide Building Society. Make sure you donate today!

Your never alone

Monday 27th Apr

There’s something simple yet powerful about a coffee morning — a warm drink, a slice of cake, and good conversation. But when we come together with purpose, those small moments can make a real difference.

We’re inviting you to join us for a coffee morning to raise awareness and support for dementia — a cause that is deeply close to my heart, and to so many others. As dementia becomes more prevalent, more families are facing the emotional, practical, and often overwhelming challenges that come with it. Behind every diagnosis is not just one person, but an entire network of loved ones trying to understand, adapt, and cope.

Dementia is a cruel disease. It slowly takes away memories, independence, and connection — things we often take for granted. And while we may not yet have all the answers, what we can offer is support, compassion, and community.

That’s where this coffee morning comes in.

It’s a chance for us to come together, raise awareness, and show that no one has to face this journey alone. Whether you’ve been personally affected, know someone who has, or simply want to support a meaningful cause, your presence matters.

So please, join us for a cuppa and a slice of cake. Bring a friend, have a chat, and help us make a difference — one conversation at a time.

Together, we can raise awareness, offer support, and remind those affected by dementia that they are not alone.
