I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

First 3 miles in the storm!

What a day to get started! We got our first 3 miles in the bag though. Storm or no storm the show must go on.
Jessie didn’t mine though she’s always raring to go!

Close to Home

Wednesday 1st Oct

This year, I’ve decided to lace up my walking boots, grab the lead, and take on a sponsored walk with my faithful four-legged friend  Jess — all in support of Dementia UK.

This cause is very close to my heart. My wonderful mother-in-law Anne has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and as a family, we are learning first-hand the impact that dementia can have. It affects not just the person living with the condition, but everyone around them. Some days are harder than others, but what remains constant is the love, the memories we hold dear, and our determination to support her in every way we can.

By taking on this walk, I want to raise awareness and funds to help Dementia UK continue their incredible work. Their Admiral Nurses provide vital care, guidance, and comfort to families like ours, helping them navigate what can feel like a very overwhelming journey.

Every step I take with my dog Jess  will be for my mother-in-law and for the thousands of other families affected by dementia across the UK. With your support, we can help ensure that no one faces dementia alone.

If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

Thank you to my Sponsors
