I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
💜 30 Miles for Dementia UK 💜
This September, I’m taking on the challenge of walking 30 miles to raise funds for Dementia UK, helping to ensure that no family has to face dementia alone.
This is a cause that is particularly close to my heart. As many of you know, I run my own companionship care business, and through my work I have the privilege of supporting people whose lives, in different ways, have been affected by dementia and memory loss.
I’ve seen how important companionship, understanding, patience and simply having someone there can be — not only for the person living with dementia, but also for the families and loved ones around them.
That’s why I wanted to take on this challenge and do my little bit to support the amazing work of Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.
💜 Every donation, big or small, really can make a difference.
For example, £33 could fund a Dementia UK specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to help them cope with the challenges dementia can bring.
So, if you are able to donate, I would be incredibly grateful. And if you can't, simply sharing my fundraising page would mean just as much.
30 miles, lots of steps, and one very important cause. 👣💜
Thank you so much for your support. xx
