I'm walking 100 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 100 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

100 miles completed !
Thursday 28th May It started as 31 miles but somehow went to 100 !. Just completed 100 mile target this evening down the beach in Llanfair, with a few days spare 💪. We lost Dad to dementia back in 2011 and his dementia journey changed me as a person. This year, only 8 weeks ago, we lost Mrs B to Alzheimer’s . She was very special to me and I will always miss her, so I wanted to raise money for them both, in their memory and to help others and their families battling this disease. Thank you all so much for your sponsors it is very much appreciated x
Mileage update !
Friday 22nd May Just back from today’s morning walk and no wind and rain so all good. Now completed 77 miles so all on track - dare I say I’m actually starting to enjoy it ! Thanks again for all the sponsorship x
Half way through!
Saturday 16th May So I’m half way through and walked 53:33 miles so far.
31 miles completed
Sunday 10th May Well I’ve completed 31.52 miles today ( 10th May), but I’ll keep on going throughout May to see how far I can walk (so you can all get your monies worth out of me!) . Thanks for all the donations really appreciate x
I’ve started !
Saturday 2nd May Well I thought I should at least start and not leave a marathon for the 31st May . I’m two days down and 6.79 miles completed. Lovely sunny walk today and was thinking about dad, Mrs B, auntie Amy (I could list at lot more rices !) as I went around. Walking does give you the time to think about the people you lose from dementia and how much they all meant to me .Thank you to my Sponsors
