I'm jogging one mile a day for Dementia UK
This April, I'm jogging one mile each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.
I don't think I've ever jogged for more than a minute and so a mile will be a big challenge for me but I know dementia is an even bigger challenge. Last year we lost mum, a wonderful nurse herself who faced dementia like she did everything else, head on. And so I'm giving it a go. For Dementia UK , and for mum.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!
