I'm running 100K for Dementia UK
This February, I'm running 100K and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Dementia 100k run
Thursday 29th JanI came across this charity run and immediately felt drawn to it, as dementia is something that is very personal to me. My Nan has been struggling with dementia for several months now, and seeing someone I love so deeply go through this has been incredibly upsetting and difficult. Watching her change, and seeing how dementia affects not just the person but the whole family, has really opened my eyes to how heartbreaking and challenging this illness can be.
Dementia doesn’t just take away memories — it slowly changes who someone is, and that’s so painful for families to witness. It’s been hard for all of us, and it has made me realise how many other families must be going through the same thing, feeling confused, helpless, and heartbroken.
That’s why I really want to take part in this charity run and do my absolute best to raise money. I want to help support those living with dementia and the families who care for them, because I know how much even a little bit of support can mean. If raising money can help improve care, fund research, or simply remind families that they’re not alone, then it would mean so much to me.
This is more than just a run for me — it’s a way to turn something painful into something positive and to honour my Nan while helping others who are facing the same struggle.
