I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Gran 💓

My reason for doing this is simply to honour my Gran and help families with support.
Until you're in it no one understands the physical, mental and emotional rollercoaster people with dementia go through. Aswell as the mental & emotional you go through as family seeing it happen.
My Gran was always a 'doer' and was beyond words kind to everyone, no matter where you was from or what you looked like.
So I live my life by those morals she instilled in us & is why I'm doing this.
"Always be kind because you don't know what people have gone through"
She went through an extremely tough time with Dementia aswell as chronic Osteoporosis, absolutely debilitating for her.
She was a very strong lady and when the little glimpses of her original self came in, she was funny, witty & positive, a real character so sadly missed.
She was like a mum to me and was always there for support, fighting your corner.
So here I am fighting hers.
Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated.
I hope this money can help families find some peace and support.
It is totally heart breaking  to grieve a person you love twice & something I never contemplated until I was going through it.

My Gran will always be remembered as who she really was & we won't let Dementia define her ♥️
