I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Final day. Past the old theatre being kept alive care of Mr Wetherspoon 🍻

Day 29

Monday 29th Sep

Day 28

Sunday 28th Sep
This walk is all about the hills usually - was lucky to catch the steamer rolling through today in the morning sunshine ☀️

Day 27 and 74 miles under my shrinking 🤞🏻belt

Saturday 27th Sep
I am smashing my mile a day target - this tail end of a summer cold is being kicked into touch with a bit of fresh air (and a few tissues) 🙌 4 days to go

Day 26

Friday 26th Sep
Nearly at the end of the road for the challenge. What next ? X

Day 25

Thursday 25th Sep

Day 24

Wednesday 24th Sep
Getting used to this now - definitely feeling that little bit fitter so that’s a bonus 🙌

Day 23

Tuesday 23rd Sep
Not much time to spare today but made it - skin of my teeth - to today’s target and a bit 🙌

Day 22

Monday 22nd Sep
2 miles in the lovely sunshine - enjoying more of the late summer colour 🌼

Day 21

Sunday 21st Sep
After the storm the last colours of summer are holding fast in the sunshine ☀️ added a couch to 5k taster to the end of today’s walk.

Day 20

Saturday 20th Sep
End of the summer colours glistening in the drizzle. It’s actually pretty cathartic breathing in the damp air and absorbing the changing colours. Nice head space from all this tech. And smashing my targets 🙌☔️

Day 19

Friday 19th Sep
Taking it to the church 😘

Day 18

Thursday 18th Sep
A walk past the town hall

Day 17

Wednesday 17th Sep
Not going up there then…

Day 16

Tuesday 16th Sep
Much better day in the valley this side of hump day. Thank you for the donations- both on here and in cash. Your support is much appreciated- I will post a total when I get to the end of this road xx

Day 15 - half way through

Monday 15th Sep
Lovely day for the ducks

Day 14

Sunday 14th Sep
Nearly half way there - walked to the local castle 😘and back

Staying ahead of the deluge again🙌

Day 12

Friday 12th Sep
Summer colour fighting on.. and just beat the rain again 🌻🙌💕

Day 11

Thursday 11th Sep
A gap in the storm

Day 10

Wednesday 10th Sep

Day 9

Tuesday 9th Sep

Day 8

Tuesday 9th Sep
You never know what you will find walking a different path - today some beautiful sweet peas

Day 7

Sunday 7th Sep
To the shoulder of mutton

Day 6

Saturday 6th Sep
Another dramatic sky moment. What is it with me and the sky - I guess it is because we have been hugely lucky this year and seen lots of clear skies. One more under the ( hopefully decreasing a notch) belt

Day 5

Friday 5th Sep
6600 steps under a dramatic sky - great to get the breeze on my face rather than the reflection of a spreadsheet- Happy Friday!!

Day 4

Friday 5th Sep

Day 3

Thursday 4th Sep
Seems a long way to go yet - but it’s good to have this motivation - hoping I can keep up the pace

Day 2

Tuesday 2nd Sep
Sunshine and 3,600 steps 🙌

Day 1

Monday 1st Sep
Lunchtime walk done - not the best weather but off to a good start with a 2 mile round trip for butty bread
