I'm walking 30 miles in September
I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Day 6
Saturday 6th Sep All going well. Tried to link my Fitbit to track activity but it only records walks over 15 minutes so a lot less than actually doing. And recording my swims too, which I can’t delete. So now using Fitbit and Pacer combined and recording manually. I reckon I’ve done 25 miles so far (average 5 miles per day) so mentally increasing my target to 100 miles (all being well with knees) Share
Day 2 so far
Tuesday 2nd Sep Feeling positive - 1 mile swim and 45 minutes yoga first thing. Needed a bit of motivation so walked to music today - 4.12 miles. My ‘running’ playlist was a bit fast so the plan is to make a new ‘walking’ playlist (love a good playlist!) - Queen - Another One Bites The Dust is a good pace for me so that’s a start. Share
