I'm cycling 300 miles for Dementia UK
This June, I'm cycling 300 miles (I am aiming for more) and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK and for my Mum who has recently been placed in a carehome, I would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Cycling 300 miles for Mum
Sunday 8th Jun Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimers just before lockdown. She was managing fine until last year December when she caught a really bad urine infection. It got so bad that it cause delirium and she was hospitalised in February for 2 months. As her POA I had no option but to source a nursing home for Mum, which broke my heart as she never wanted to go into care. My sister arrived from Australia and we collected Mum from hospital and took her to the nursing home. Mum has been there for 7 weeks now and is doing well. I am raising funds as I know my Mum would be proud of me for doing this to help other families suffering from Dementia. ShareThank you to my Sponsors
