Walk 30 Miles in September 2026

Join the Facebook group for Walk 30 miles in September challenge.

I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

Day 24 - 24/09/26

Thursday 24th Sep
I’m definitely worried that Baxter is starting to like this daily walk lark and will want it to continue after September, but a dinnertime walk in the sun was very much what the doctor ordered 😊🚶🐶💕

Day 19 - 19/09/26

Saturday 19th Sep
I’m now absolutely dying and Baxter really did not want to walk (completely dug his heels in several times whilst we were out) but we’re committed to the cause and have completed today’s walk 🙌 Now time for a bath, comfy clothes, and a day on the sofa watching films with Lex.

Day 18 - 18/09/26

Friday 18th Sep
Miserable weather all day, increasing unwell throughout the day, Baxter initially refused to go out then whilst we were out at one point completely refused to walk, we got absolutely soaked, and now I feel like death - but we got out and did our walk, so another day done! 🙌😊🚶🐶

Day 17 - 17/09/26

Thursday 17th Sep
The heavens opened just as we went out on our walk, so cut it a bit short and we both came home drenched! Also no clue how my  stinky little Baxter can manage three poos and two wees in the pouring rain and only 1.28 miles. 😳🙄💩🐶

Day 14 - 14/09/26

Tuesday 15th Sep
Baxter is quite getting into this daily walk lark, but not so much that we’ve walked for 724.33 hours! He’s ok and still alive, I just forgot to turn our Biscuits walk tracker off 🙄

Day 8 - 08/09/26

Tuesday 8th Sep
Think. I’ve done myself an injury with my increased walking - 20,554 steps on Saturday = possible tendon strain or broken bone 🙄 So keep sponsoring us 🤗

Day 6 - 06/09/26

Sunday 6th Sep
Lex joined us for a little potter around Prestwich.

Day 5 - 05/09/26

Saturday 5th Sep
Our Saturday morning trek and therapeutic rant around Heaton Park with Tracey.

Day 3 - 03/09/26

Thursday 3rd Sep
Getting slightly concerned that Baxter is getting too used to this daily walk lark and will expect it to continue after September 😳

Day 2 - 02/09/26

Wednesday 2nd Sep
Day 2: Despite Baxter’s initial protests about going for a walk in the wet (refused to come downstairs when called for a walk, ran off and hid when he saw his coat, ran to Scott for protection once the coat was on, and dug his heels in at the back door so I had to drag him out 🙄) we eventually got out and he strutted around like a total Top Dog 😂

Day 1 - 01/09/26

Wednesday 2nd Sep
Day one off to a good start - but after walks on the last three days Baxter is currently knackered 😂🐶💕
