I'm jogging one mile a day for Dementia UK

Last November our dad at the age of 68 was given a diagnosis of Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, my sister and I have been wanting to raise awareness and money to help any way we can.

We have set ourselves this challenge to run 1 mile every day in April to raise some money to support Dementia UK.

Sadly I think we will be requiring this charities help over the coming years with our dad so we want to support them the best we can.

This April, I'm jogging one mile each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Friday 11th Apr
Visiting my sister Tiffany in Inverness, we have managed a mile hike with the kiddies this morning to visit a herd of reindeer and then a mile run this evening with Jovi. Nice to do some of the months runs together 😁

Day 2

Wednesday 2nd Apr
We are on Day 2 and both my sister and I found 1mile easier this morning.
A week today and I will be joining my sister in Scotland to do our miles together!!
