Fans vs Dementia

Fans vs Dementia - My Reason.

One in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime.

Unfortunately, my grandma - Sheila Phelps, was one of them.

Growing up, my grandma meant the world to me, I would spend nearly every Sunday at her house, she was active, good with kids and always outgoing, taking me and my brother to events regularly, driving and still able to live her life to the fullest.

Sadly, as I grew older, Sheila developed dementia, seeing her begin to forget my name and no longer remembering the people she loved broke my heart. That’s why this cause means so much to me.

My grandma passed away in 2020 but remains one of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, I hope that my fundraiser can help fight a battle which so many families like my own will face.

That’s why on the 26th September 2026, I’m participating in a walk from the home of Ebbsfleet United (Stonebridge Road) to Tonbridge Angels (Longmead Stadium). A gruelling 7 hour+ walk, all to fight dementia.

Any donations are hugely appreciated in this battle, thank you.
