I'm jogging one mile a day for Dementia UK

This April, I'm jogging one mile each day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

my why

Tuesday 25th Mar
As Mother’s Day approaches I wanted to do something different, something to remember my Granny and the amazing woman she was. My Granny, Ellen, suffered with dementia for years before passing away. She was a fighter, a woman who worked her hardest all her life and the best woman to raise her 8 children. She raised my mum to be the best woman in the world and a mother who replicates the strong and ambitious woman that my granny was. My Granny was my best friend and I miss her almost every day, and I know my mum was left with an irreplaceable hole in her heart that’ll never be filled. Dementia unfortunately targets families before they lose their loved ones and rips away their memories and life. I hope leading up to Mother’s Day I can try and make an impact and hopefully contribute to families who may currently be suffering too and hopefully make a difference. I’d be appreciative of any donations big or small to try and make an impact for this amazing charity. Love Hannah X
