I'm walking/running 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK
This January, I'm going to walk/run 50 Miles (80.5km) to raise funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support. I’m doing this for my Nan who has just celebrated her 91st birthday alongside other people close to my heart.
Unfortunately, 55 million people globally are affected by dementia and your donation, big or small, makes a difference.
Just £10 could pay for the telephone costs of two families calling its free Dementia helpline and £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
