I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK
In January, I’m walking 50 miles to raise money for Dementia UK, because this is personal.
My mum was diagnosed with dementia in late 2023. Watching someone you love change is hard, exhausting, and often heart-breaking. Dementia doesn’t just affect one person; it affects everyone around them, every single day.
I’m doing this walk for my mum, and for other families going through the same thing. Dementia UK supports people living with dementia and the families around them through some of the hardest, most confusing moments, not just with information, but with real, ongoing support.
Every donation really does make a difference and could help fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour supporting a family in their community, offering practical help and emotional support to cope with distressed behaviour and the realities of dementia.
If you’re able to donate, I’d really appreciate it. Every bit helps, and it genuinely makes a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting me and this cause.
