I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

💙 30 Miles for Dementia UK 💙

Lately, our family has been hit with the devastating reality of dementia — an awful disease that can change lives and take away so much from the people we love.

It’s difficult to put into words the sadness, anger and heartbreak that comes with watching someone you love struggle with this cruel disease. Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed; it affects the whole family.

So, rather than let all those emotions consume me, I’ve decided to channel my sadness, my anger and my love into something positive.

I’m going to be walking 30 miles to raise money for Dementia UK. 🚶‍♀️💙

Thirty miles might sound like a long way — and believe me, I know it’s going to be tough! 😂 — but if I can turn every aching muscle, every tired step and every mile into money that could help support families affected by dementia, then it will all be worth it.

So many families are being impacted by this devastating disease, and behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a story.

I want to do my little bit to make a difference.
