I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Frustrations with Technology

I've struggled to work my OS Maps AND my smart watch / phone app.  It's so frustrating. 
Fully enjoying however completing what walks I can with Dad either walking or in his wheelchair. 
If only we could upload videos to this site 😩

Hi All, Dad us doing really well, thanks everyone for their donations n support.  We had a lovely weekend when my Hubster n pooch came to Liverpool for the weekend. 

A trip to Blackpool, lush n chips n illuminations, what's not to like xx

Still Fighting The Good Fght

So, whilst dealing with Alzheimers n Dementia, Dad is still working with his stage 3 Melanoma situation. Today having a mass removed from his right thigh n side of his nose. He's still looking forward to walking/being pushed for however many miles he can do through September xxx

WHY I'M DOING THIS

Tuesday 26th Aug
Mum died in 2021 after being diagnosed with Alzheimers and Dementia, it was Sepsis that took her in the end. 

In January 2025, my brother reached out to me by way of my moving back to Liverpool for a period of time to care for Dad, as he was beginning to struggle with mobility and memory.  

I jumped at it like a shot and was back in Liverpool 2 days later.

In July 2025, along with Stage 3 Melanoma, Prostate Cancer, a stroke and many other conditions, we found that Dad too was diagnosed with Alzheimers and Dementia. 

I've given up work to care for Dad full time, with the full support of my Husband - Richard Forster (still living in Northamptoshire), Brother, Sister in Law and their two adult daughters (Living in Liverpool). 

I've spoken to Dad, who currently is relatively mobile - but with difficulty around the home and needs a wheelchair outside of the home. 

Dad wishes to take part in this challenge and fundraiser as much as he can.
