I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
As many of you know, I recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of my Mum.
In her later years, Mum suffered a couple of significant falls, which sadly led to a decline in her mobility and independence. Eventually, she required specialist care and spent the final months of her life in assisted living. During that time, she faced her own struggles with memory loss and confusion, but she still managed to form friendships with others facing similar challenges.
When I saw this walk being advertised, I felt I had to take part. As May was also Mum’s birth month, it seemed the perfect opportunity to do something in her memory while supporting a cause that affects so many individuals and families.
So, I did this for Mum - and for everyone living with this cruel disease. I like to think she was with me every step of the way.
In loving memory of our beautiful Maisie Cameron, who always had a kind heart and never stopped helping others. ❤️
