I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me so far on my 62mile walk for Dementia UK 💜

Your kindness & encouragement mean so much. I never imagined I’d have the confidence to do something like this, but your support truly keeps me going.

This Saturday, 18th October, I’ll be joining a hike in Charlbury with the lovely hiking group @over_____ground (Instagram). I’m really looking forward to getting a few more miles in and walking in memory of my grandmother, Ayeeyo Rahmo, whose love & strength continue to inspire me every step of the way.

From Gaabey Carab to my Ayeeyo 🤍

This October, I’m walking 62 miles in memory of my grandmother, (Ayeeyo) Rahma Macow Hassan, who passed away peacefully in December 2024, surrounded by the loving village she built around her.

Her dementia journey opened my eyes to just how tough this illness is, not only for the person living with it but for the families who carry the weight of caring too. I watched my mum & her siblings show strength, patience and endless love, even on the hardest days. That experience has stayed with me.

I’m taking on this challenge to raise funds so other families can get the specialist care, advice, and support they deserve. Even the smallest donation has an impact.

£10 helps two families reach Dementia UK’s free Helpline for vital guidance.

£33 funds an hour with an Admiral Nurse, giving families both practical solutions and emotional support.

Your support would mean so much, not just as a tribute to my grandmother’s memory but as hope for every family walking this journey right now.
