hours of free helpline support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse

I'm making Time for a Cuppa

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Thank you!

Time for a cuppa, for my Mum, Gran and Uncle Allan and everyone who has or is affected by dementia

Saturday 25th Apr
Why I’m Raising Money for Dementia UK

There are some journeys in life you never expect to take. Supporting a loved one through dementia is one of them.

Watching dementia slowly change my Mum is incredibly difficult. It doesn’t just affect memory — it changes conversations, routines, and the little everyday things you once took for granted.

Dementia doesn’t just impact the person diagnosed. It affects the whole family. There are moments of confusion, frustration, and sadness — but also moments of connection that become even more meaningful because you realise how precious they are.
That’s why I’ve decided to raise money for Dementia UK.

Dementia UK provides specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, who support families through every stage of dementia. Their work makes a real difference — offering guidance, reassurance, and practical help when it’s needed most. For families like mine, that kind of support is invaluable.

My Mums family have already lost my Gran and my uncle Allan to this desease its so unfair.

Time for a cuppa is my way of doing something positive in a situation that can often feel overwhelming. It’s about giving back, raising awareness, and helping other families who are going through similar experiences.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much. Every contribution helps support families facing dementia and funds the vital work Dementia UK continues to do.
And if you can’t donate, simply sharing this or taking a moment to learn more about dementia can still make a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read this — and for supporting a cause that is so close to my heart.
