I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Dad

Tuesday 4th Aug
My dad  is the funniest, kindest smartest person I know. He’s full of useful information and the most not to useful facts. In facts he’s the best person to have on your team in a pub quiz.
Unfortunately he got ill and battles dementia but in all the frustration and constant repeating himself he’s still there, my dad. He just tells me the same fact 8000 times now instead of once. He remembers all the fun we had, all the adventures we went on. Dementia is hard it not only changes them but it changes you too. It’s hard to see the person you love dim, become forgetful, frustrated at life and so very vulnerable. But if you can make one day better for them. Support the families around them for just a moment, it makes all the heartache that bit easier, That’s my why.
