I'm making Time for a Cuppa

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Dementia Awareness Day - 30th April 2026

We are hosting a Dementia awareness day at the Nene Centre in Thrapston! We will kick off with a sponsored walk  at 11:30 - doing laps of our studio, moving at your own pace, taking a seat when you need one and raising funds for Dementia UK. We will then do our usual Games and puzzles session at 12-12:45, which will incorporate all sorts of things from sudoku to giant connect 4 and a game of scatch! Getting us all working on mental stimulation and reaction whilst socialising and having a natter! 
Finally we will move into the cafe for coffee and cake 12:45-2pm - all proceeds to go to Dementia Uk! Here we will hear from a Dementia UK representative about the latest research in the field, tactics for coping with the. Challenges that dementia brings and what support is available in the local area and do some Q&A! 
So why not set yourself a challenge of getting some sponsorship and getting a few laps under your belt, playing a few games and finding out more whilst helping to raise vital funds?  See you there?
