I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK
This January I will be walking 50 miles for @dementia_uk. The man in the picture above is my Dad. The best Dad and man ever. He was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia (a type of dementia that experts know little about), in April 2024, and it’s been a huge rollercoaster for me and my brother. But still at the centre of it all is love, his and ours.
1 in 3 people born in the UK will get dementia, yet we still don’t talk about it. If you can help me to raise anything to support research, support, advice and care, we would all really appreciate it
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
