I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Wednesday 2nd Sep💜 30 MILES FOR DEMENTIA UK 💜
Today, me and my goofy boy Wilson 🐾 completed our first mile!
1 mile down… 29 to go! 💪🏼
We’re doing this throughout September in memory of my beautiful Nan, who sadly lost her battle with dementia after living an incredible 100 years.
Dementia is such a cruel, cruel disease. It doesn’t just take memories — it slowly takes pieces of the person you love.
For families, there are so many firsts you never forget…
The first time she couldn’t remember my name.
The first time she didn’t recognise my face.
The first time she forgot I had children.
The first time she thought I was a nurse instead of her granddaughter.
The first time she asked my Dad who he was — her own son.
And then come the lasts…
The last time she said my name and knew who I was.
The last time she knew her family.
The last time she lived in her own home.
The last time she spoke to me.
You lose someone you love over and over again, long before you actually lose them. 💔
So this September, Wilson and I are walking 30 miles for Nan, and for every family living through this awful disease.
Any money raised will help Dementia UK provide vital support to families, specialist nurses, advice and research.
If you can donate, even a little, we’d be so incredibly grateful. 💜
🐾💜 For Nan.
