Walk 50 Miles in January 2026

I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Why the hell not!

Wednesday 17th Dec
Mum passed away last December 2024,  after almost 10 years with early onset dementia.
During her illness, I took up long distance running which helped clear the headspace I needed to handle seeing mums health and mental state slowly decline.
So this January, I thought I should put this to some sort of use and raise money for Dementia Uk who provided great support and information during the last decade.
The walk 50 miles for January popped up - but not one to make it easy for myself, I’m going to run 50 miles/80km in January.
Please make a donation if you can to help me reach my goal and get back in my running shoes and many others get the support they need from this fantastic charity.
