I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Walking for my mom
Wednesday 19th AugWhy I’m Walking 30 Miles for Dementia
This September, I’ll be taking on a 30-mile walk for dementia — and this challenge means more to me than I could ever put into words.
My mum has recently been diagnosed with dementia and Parkinson’s. It’s been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our family, and seeing someone you love face these illnesses is heartbreaking.
I’m doing this walk for my mum. I’m doing it to raise awareness, to help support people and families affected by dementia, and to raise money for a cause that has now become very personal to me.
Thirty miles will be challenging, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges my mum and so many others living with dementia face every single day. Every step I take will be for her, and for everyone whose lives have been changed by this cruel disease.
If you’re able to support me by donating, sharing my fundraising page, or simply cheering me on, I would be incredibly grateful. Every bit of support will mean so much to me and my family.
This walk is for my mum. ❤️ Every mile is for her.
