I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
During lockdown, my gran was diagnosed with dementia, and it came on so quickly that our whole family struggled to process how fast everything changed. In such a short space of time, we saw her memory, confidence, and independence decline, which was heartbreaking for everyone who loves her.
Watching how suddenly dementia can take hold inspired me to make a difference. I want to complete a 31-mile walk to raise money for Dementia UK. They provide specialist Admiral Nurses who offer expert advice, practical support, and emotional guidance to families facing dementia. By taking on this challenge, I hope to raise awareness and help other families get the support they need during such a difficul journey.
