I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK.

My grandma is still here, but dementia has slowly taken away the grandma of my childhood who told funny stories, joined in with silly games and always let us have a treat as soon as grandad left to go to the pub. Watching someone you love change in ways you never expected is incredibly difficult, and I’ve unfortunately seen first hand how caring for someone with dementia can effect other loved ones. There are good days and difficult ones, and it can be heartbreaking to see the person you know become so affected by this illness, not knowing who they are, where they are and being stuck on a loop unable to remember what has just been said. Anything you can give to help support all those struggling with this illness, is greatly appreciated as this is incredibly close to my heart. Thank you!
