I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

For Nan💙

Saturday 22nd Aug

This September, I’m taking on the challenge of walking 30 miles plus some more throughout the month to raise money for dementia UKand this is a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.

My Nan had dementia for 4 years before she sadly passed away from it in March 2023.  Watching someone you love so deeply begins to slowly deteriorate in front of you with nothing that can be done is something that is incredibly difficult to put words. With her birthday soon coming up i was thinking about what i could do to give back and honour her memory so i thought this a gift to her of helping others that are going through the same she and our family did.

My nan was such an independent, strong willed and often stubborn person. She held our family together and when it came to us nothing was too much of an ask. She gave us so many reasons to smile and we still often think back to these memories and just remember her. Seeing dementia take away the person she was absolutely devastating.

I know that our family isn’t the only one to have experienced this, and that’s why I’m taking on this challenge. Dementia affects so many people and their families, and I want to do something, however small, to help support the work Dementia UK does for those going through it.

So, throughout September, I’ll be walking the challenge of 30 miles in memory of my nan. 💙

Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me and my family. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing my fundraising page would also mean the world.

This is for you Nan. 💙

Thank you for helping me support such an important cause.
