Fans vs Dementia

I'm taking on Fans vs Dementia

During the course of 90 minutes, 30 people in the UK will develop dementia.

I’m taking on Fans vs Dementia and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Why im doing 70 miles in October to raise money for fans v dementia.

Saturday 20th Sep
Hi. I'm Ellen-Marie and raising money for fans v dementia is important to me for a few reasons, the first being that my wee nana had dementia. She was one of the most important and influential people in my life. She always showed great kindness and compassion to others and always believed in doing the right thing. The second reason is i am a care assistant in a fabulous care home for people with dementia. Alot of these people have great families that are close by to visit everyday but there are a few who's families live in different parts of  the world so the staff are the only people they see.  I believe it is important to help families who care for people with dementia at home and that they get the support and information they need to allow the person with dementia to live their best life.  My goal is to raise £150 so any amount no mater how small is greatly appreciated  and if I can raise more than my target that would be amazing too. Every little helps.
P.s I am aware that for the fans v dementia i am required to walk to a stadium but I have decided to challenge myself also which is why I have decided to takenit upon myself to run/walk 70 miles throughout the month of October.
