I'm making Time for a Cuppa
By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.
Thank you!

Reflection.
Saturday 25th AprLooking back on it, growing up in Nursing Homes for the elderly (my parents owned them at the time) was magical. My family actually lived in them from before I was born to when I was about 10 years old. We lived on the top floor, whilst the residents lived on the ground and first floor.
I never saw it as a place of work, it was my home. It was a joyful house, full of extra Grannies and Grandads that would tell me stories, play the piano alongside me, sit in the garden and pick flowers with me. It took many years to even realise they were technically not related to me.
There was always someone to laugh with, sing and dance with, talk to and just be present with. I will treasure those memories forever.

Bringing cake to my new lovely Guildford workplace!
Saturday 25th AprMay 11th - 12th 2026
To celebrate recently joining the team here at Medivet Guildford, I will be supplying my new colleagues (and our local pet owners/visiters who would like some) cake to help raise money for Dementia UK.
It is a charity very close to my heart.
