I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK
This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Walks 4-11
Saturday 17th Jan I kept forgetting to put my updates in here so catching up, hard to do daily ones between work, the dark nights and awfully cold weather so mostly little ones keep my miles adding up, walked 6.15 today with my bestie and earnt myself a couple of lovely blisters 🤦♀️ but it takes me down to almost half way, 28.24 to go 🤞 Share
Walk 3 - Mill Dam Park - 1.56 miles
Sunday 4th Jan Joined by little legs who didn’t do too bad considering she wanted to stop at 0.34 miles 😂 Although I had to do some zig zag walking and pausing on my app whilst she played on park too! Share
From lazing to raising
Wednesday 31st Dec Starting 2026 with a different approach, beginning with raising money for dementia. Having had different family members suffer with this horrible cruel illness for over half my adult life and for the future ahead, I know just how hard it is for the family members supporting, watching your loved one losing themselves and not understanding why, being upset but not knowing why, not being able to do the things they used to, the list is endless.
