I'm doing The 36 Hole Challenge for Dementia UK

I’m taking on The 36 Hole Challenge and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

August is finally here and I can't wait to get going, 36 holes consecutivley carrying all my kit and walking (no buggies allowed)

Target Smashed in 4 Days

Wow what can I say , thank you thank you thank you for all the donations it’s been great to smash the target of £250 in less than 4 days!

Awaiting to confirm date as the Member of the club committee is on holiday ! Soon as he’s back we can confirm a date and get all booked in.

Thanks to everyone who has donated it is greatly appreciated.

So far we have nailed down some details 

I’ll be playing a minimum of 36 holes , on foot no buggies , carrying my clubs and kit which weigh around 50lbs.

I’ll be linking my Watch to this page so you’ll be able see me zig zagging up the fairway and looking to clock up 20 miles or so in the process.

As soon as I have a date confirmed with the Golf Club I will get it all booked. 

If anyone wants to donate a prize we are looking to arrange a raffle to be drawn at the end if I can stand.!

36 Hole Challenge 2025

Hi all,

Completing a 36 hole round of golf is hard enough but doing it with my erratic game is gonna be a challenge.
Aiming to complete 36 holes on foot at my Club Barlaston Golf Club  (https://www.barlastongolfclub.co.uk/)  in a day, I’ve reached out to them for their support in making this happen so will keep everyone posted. 

As I turn the 39+1 years old this year I thought I’d do something different.

Dementia is a cruel disease that robs memories from not only the person but their family and friends.

 Please donate whatever you can ,  even if it’s a £1 it all helps.

If we manage to raise our target then we will select another charity to donate to.
