I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

A worthy cause that needs our support
Monday 15th Sep I lost my mother five years ago to cancer, after finding out the diagnosis only 8 weeks before she passed away. Sadly, she had been suffering with dementia for several years prior to losing her. I often think that without the dementia she might of told us sooner and realised she wasn't well. Now in 2025, I own Escape2VR where I specialise in taking virtual reality into care homes, and giving the elderly (many with dementia) experiences that they can enjoy. Many experiences are theraputic (for example, time with cats or dogs) or places which are familiar to them. I have now been visiting many of my clients for years, and every time I see them they are pleased to meet me and try virtual reality for, what they believe, is the first time!
