Every mile for Maggie’s smile
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

30 Miles for Dementia: For My Gran 💜
Friday 21st AugThis September, I’m taking on a challenge that means a little bit more to me than simply getting my steps in.
I’m walking 30 miles throughout September for dementia — and I’m doing it for my gran. 💜
Dementia is something that has become a very real part of our family’s life. Watching someone you love live with dementia is heartbreaking in ways that are difficult to put into words. It changes so much — memories, conversations, independence and the little things we often take for granted.
But behind the diagnosis is still the person you love. Still my gran.
So I wanted to do something in her honour.
Thirty miles might not sound like a huge challenge, but every single mile will have a reason behind it. Every walk will be a reminder of my gran, the memories we have shared and the importance of raising awareness for dementia and the families living alongside it.
I’ll be sharing my progress throughout September, and if you’d like to support me a donation, a share, a follow or even just a little bit of encouragement would mean so much.
This one is for you, Gran. 💜
30 miles. One month. One very special reason.
One step at a time
