I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK

This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Dementia U.K. Fundraiser

Like myself, many of you will have gone through the heartbreak of having a loved one suffer with Dementia, what you may not be aware of is just how prevalent it is.  Dementia is now the single biggest cause of death in the U.K. estimated at almost 12%, and statistically one in three of us will suffer from it at some point in our lives.  Research is producing increased knowledge, and improved treatments, but that alongside supporting sufferers and their loved ones comes at a cost, a considerable cost, so…

…I’m doing this sponsored walk to raise funds for Dementia UK. They’re asking folk to walk 60 miles in June, I’m aiming to do over 100.  They’re asking folk to try to raise £250, Im aiming to raise over £500.
