I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
Dementia has darkened the doors of friends and family, including our own, destroying the lives of its victims and their loved ones. It's hard to look into the eyes of a parent, sibling or partner and wonder if this is the first day they don't recognise you. It's exhausting to comfort, reassure and encourage, umpteen times a day, knowing tomorrow might be better, but will probably be the same. To those who have been through it, I commend you for your resilence. To those still on the journey, I send love and strength 💜
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
