I'm doing The 36 Hole Challenge for Dementia UK
I’m taking on The 36 Hole Challenge and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
£21 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Why I’m doing this
Friday 29th May I clearly remember spending every weekend with my nana and grandad who lived on the outskirts of Edinburgh, getting off at Barnton and going to the local John Menzies newsagent to buy them sweets for the weekend and their favourite magazines. Spending time in the garden was one of my favourites. Picking home grown fruit and veg and helping make dinner which was the catalyst for my cooking career. We enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and watching wrestling with all the UK goodies and baddies. Unfortunately Nana was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's and what started as her forgetfulness turned into something so heartbreaking. Grandad never understood his wife’s ability to complete even basic tasks laterally and the stigma it has attached to it then. In later years my other Nana was unfortunately taken by the disease and feels the right time to raise even a small amount of money and awareness for this wonderful charity. Other loved ones have been subject to its cruel and horrible consequences, as well as the devastation it does to sufferers and their families who have to keep it together through the hardest of times watching loved ones lose their memories. Thank you for reading. Anything donated is appreciated!!

Let’s get this show on the road. Need all the practice I can get so doing it for charity makes sense
