Help me reach my goal of £250

I'm walking 50 Miles in January for someone close to my heart and those around them in aid of Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Anything you could spare will make a difference to fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Job Done with a few days spare!

I am happy to report that myself and Gem have completed our 100 miles this evening 🎉 and we have also doubled our donations target to match 😊.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everybody who has supported us throughout our journey and for all there kind donations they have kept us going through the dark, wet, cold early mornings and evenings.

I really hope none of you need to use this fantastic charity but you are all aware of it now if need be.

Long Week

Friday 23rd Jan
Sorry for the lack of posts this week been a very busy week at work so after walking, eating, working and sleeping not found any spare time!
Will update properly on Sunday but just wanted to thank Damion Nichols, Nikki Peel,Karen Grant, Ian & Jackie Tuckett, Alun Smart and Nick Wells for your support and kind donations this week, legs are certainly aching now.

3rd Sunday Round Up, 50 Done

Sunday 18th Jan
Happy to report that 50 miles were completed on Wednesday, thank you so much to all of those who have sponsored and support me so far I’m truly grateful to all of you for dipping into your pockets for this fantastic cause.
I will be continuing to walk with the next milestone set at 100 miles asi hoped when I began this journey.
I would like to thank Wendy, Maggs, Nicki and my Mum for your encouragement and donations this last week, legs are starting to ache a little and Gems not quite so keen to come for ‘walkies’.
Hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend, thank you all again 😊

2nd Sunday Update

Sunday 11th Jan
Well that’s the end of the first full week, had its ups and downs but managed to add a further 27 miles to my total bring it up to just over 43 miles 😊.
Thank you to my wonderful wife Leanne for your companionship over the weekend, Gem loves it when you come along as she has someone to keep stopping in front off 😆.
Thank you soo very much to Debbie Mayger, Emma Witts & Carol Bew for your support and generous donations they are pushing me to get to the end.

Friday 9th Jan
WFH today so not such an early start 😊 1.6m covered with another 2.3m after work both cold and wet 😖.
1/3 of the way to 100 now done ☺️, big thank you to David Alder, Geemec Ltd, Ollie Paget, Amelia Costas and Chris Hall for you kind donations 🤩

Thursdays round up

Thursday 8th Jan
Well just over a quarter way through the month and the miles are stacking up, after a couple of early morning (5:45)moon lit walks and dark evening walks after work Gem and myself are just shy of 30 miles 🎉
Thank you soo much Jo & Neil Townsend and Jo & Steve Morrissey for your generous donations, they kept me going this evening in the freezing  torrential rain 🥶🌧️☺️

Cold one this morning

Monday 5th Jan
Up early this morning for a quick 1.9 miles before heading back to work then another 1.5 miles before dinner, was that cold this morning my walking companion had an ice beard 🥶
