I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Having seen both my Grandfather and Uncle die with dimentia. I struggled to cope with the fact that everytime i seen them they had become more distant and confused  I will never forget how I felt when I phoned my Granda and he didn't know who I was and he hung up on me. We used to have long conversations on how our beloved Celtic football club were doing. I miss those chats so so much. Another member of my family has the same illness now and I feel that I want to do something to help with the support for families and the potential of new drugs being made to help those that suffer this nasty illness. This is just my story. There's so many more.
