I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

walk for dementia
Friday 26th SepThis year, I’ll be taking part in a charity walk in honour of my grandad, who is living with dementia. Watching someone you love slowly change because of this illness is incredibly hard. Dementia doesn’t just affect memory – it changes conversations, relationships, and day-to-day life.
My grandad has always been a constant source of warmth, humour, and strength in our family. Even now, through the challenges, moments of his old self shine through – a smile, a story, a joke that reminds us of the man we know and love. Those moments keep us going.
I’m walking not just for him, but for the millions of families touched by dementia. The funds raised will go towards research, support services, and resources to help people like my grandad live with dignity and comfort.
Every step I take will be in his honour – a way of saying, we see you, we love you, and we’ll keep walking beside you.
