I'm doing Winter Reading Challenge for Dementia UK
This winter, I'm reading and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Day 1.
Wednesday 9th Sep To kick off the challenge, I spread my reading across three books. I'm a book hopper anyway, and alternate between books depending on my mood.
Reason why.
Wednesday 9th Sep I had an elderly neighbour who would knock on my door in the middle of the night or the crack of dawn asking if I had seen her dog. I would walk her home and she would talk to me about her swimming lessons, and how her dad would tell her off if her trousers were wet. She would also ask me to tell her dad that she came to my house after school so she wouldn't get in trouble for not going straight home.Thank you to my Sponsors

Whenever I listen to country music and watch Doris Day, I think of my maternal grandfather “Vin” Williams who passed 7 days after my birthday after a decade of the big D.
