I'm walking 62 Miles in October

My beautiful grandmother has been recently diagnosed with dementia. I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. 

I have had personal experience with a family member having dementia and worked with a lot of individuals with dementia in my work field. 

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

My main reason for doing this is for my grandma! She has recently been diagnosed with dementia. I see on a day to day basis how this has affected her. Luckily she has a granddaughter that has had exposure to dementia from my experience with work. I know the support out there and ways on going to get this. However there are family’s out there that do not have this and rely on charities like dementia UK for support. This is my motivation!
