I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
Something so close to my heart.. My Nanny Iris has dementia, she was the most incredible Nanny growing up along with my beloved grandad and since working in a care home for the first time I have learnt so much, the relationships I have gained with our dementia community in which every person is an individual but absolutely amazing in their own special way. I want to do something to give back, not just for my incredible Nanny Iris but for all my amazing residents, each individual brings something so special and I feel blessed to spend my days interacting and placing myself in their world, which is absolutely fascinating. Dementia does not define anybody, it’s understanding the world they are now living in and being there to understand and give reassurance they need in a world of confusion ❤️ Please donate 🙏
