I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK

This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

For my Grandad

Saturday 30th May
Fifteen years is how long my grandad fought against dementia. Last year, that long battle finally came to an end.
Watching someone you love slip away bit by bit is a unique kind of heartbreak. You grieve them twice: once when their memories fade, and again when they finally pass away. In the hardest moments of that fifteen-year journey, I often felt overwhelmed by the weight of it all.
But I was never entirely alone.
Through every tear, every difficult hospital visit, and the crushing grief of last year, my best friend was my rock. When I didn't have the words, they just listened. When I needed to cry, they stayed. True friendship shows up in the dark.
Now, the two of us want to turn that pain into purpose.
We have seen firsthand what dementia does to a family, and we refuse to just sit back. We want to make as much money as possible for charity to fund research, support grieving families, and eventually find a cure so other grandchildren don't have to watch their heroes fade away.
But we cannot do this without you.
We are launching a fundraising campaign, and we need our community to rally behind us. Whether you can donate the cost of a coffee, share our link, or join us at our upcoming fundraising events, every single penny brings us closer to a world without dementia.
Grandad fought for fifteen years. Now, it is our turn to fight in his memory.
