I'm walking 30 miles in September

Hi everyone. My Dad George is now in his 92nd year and is suffering with dementia. I am living with him and caring for him at home with the help of others.

I signed up for this walk which is only 1 mile per day. So it should be easy after the marathons and half marathons that I have run previously.

To make it a bit more interesting and harder. I am going to take Dad round with me each day!!

No, I am not going to make him walk as he is very frail and not able to walk far these days.

Instead, Dad is going to have the easy part as he is going to sit in his wheelchair while I push him for a mile each night.
I would appreciate any support and donation no matter how small as it will all help.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thursday 4th Sep
It’s Day 4 and I took Dad from Torre Abbey around Torquay harbour which is more like 2 miles but a nice walk and view for him. When we got back the Devon Air Ambulance was parked  on Torre Abbey. Dad was asking if it was there to give us a lift home lol 😂 Tune in tomorrow for more. George & Chaz xx
