Tuesday 29th Sep
Thank you to everyone who donated it really did spur me on (put me under pressure to do it!)…the ££’s donated also helped me to lose a few of my own lbs….so a win all round!

We also hosted a ladies afternoon tea with Mum this wkend and it’s lovely to see what a group of ladies can pull off with a couple of weeks notice! 💕🩵
🥂☕️🧁

Total raised: £448
walking challenge: £348
Time for a cuppa event: £100

To think these old dancing soles, delicious cupcakes made by the lovely @treatsatmegs, a few cuppa’s and perhaps a few too many 🥂 for some has contributed £448 to Dementia UK really is amazing!

If anyone would like to help me get to £500 - you know what to do!

🩷 Challenge update! 🚶🏻‍♀️3️⃣0️⃣ in 30 🩵

Monday 14th Sep

Thank you to all of you who have donated to my page….if you don’t know already, I had a hip replacement 3 yrs ago, gave up teaching dancing in 2024 and walking never really finds time to enter my daily routine! I drive around 400 miles pw for work too so spend most of my time sat in traffic….

I was hoping to raise £50 to add to the Dementia UK pot but I have been overwhelmed by the donations so far from friends, family and people I hardly know. This has definitely spurred me on to keep going and get out there come rain or shine no matter what kind of day it has been!

2 weeks done….just over 2 weeks to go! 💪🏼🚶🏻‍♀️☀️☔️

💗 Dementia Walking Challenge 💗 30 miles in 30 days

Friday 28th Aug

This September I’m taking on the challenge of walking 30 miles for my lovely Mum, raising money for Dementia UK.

My eldest turns 10 this year, so I’ve shared a photo of Mum from 2016, one from when she was diagnosed in 2020 and her 80th birthday this year. Three photos that show just how cruel dementia is and how much it has changed our beautiful Mum.

She still loves music, dancing, looking her best and, of course, a glass of Prosecco! 🥂 Most of all, she loves her grandsons, family and friends. And although dementia brings so much sadness and loneliness, she can still make me smile when we talk about the “good old times” — Lumsden, Ireland, Scotland and the dance school. ❤️ A few extra photos over the last 10 yrs.

I know there are lots of fundraising requests on here, but if you could spare the cost of a coffee (or a glass of Prosecco 😉), I’d be incredibly grateful.

And please… the next time you see your Mum or Dad, give them a hug. You just never know. 🩷💙

Thank you for supporting me and my Mum. xx
